International Student

The prospective and promising socio-economic situation and development in Jepara make Unisnu the best higher education alternative for International students. Although it currently does not offer specialized classes taught in English or other international languages, OIS has experience in supporting a diverse group of international students across various faculties and study programs at Unisnu. In the last five years, Unisnu has 15 active international students from countries in Asia and Africa, involving Thailand (2018), Sudan (2022), Egypt (2022), Pakistan (2022, 2023), and India (2023).

OIS is committed to continually enhancing global networking and connectedness at Unisnu, particularly in providing optimal services for international students.


Application for Registration

  • Each of the prospective students has access to all information and services, such as information on study programs, registration fees, tuition fees, and other relevant information, which can be obtained through the admissions website, brochures, or by visiting directly the OIS Unisnu Jepara.
  • The registration and payment process can be conveniently completed online or in person at Unisnu Jepara with the assistance of OIS staff. After the completion of the admission process, prospective international students will receive a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Unisnu Jepara.
  • To support prospective international students, OIS staff will provide guidance and assistance throughout the online application process for study permits to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (MoECRT). This includes attaching the necessary documents provided by prospective international students. The duration of this process is approximately two weeks.
  • The OIS staff will assist the student with the application process for the student visa (pre-arrival) and limited stay permit (KITAS) issued by the nearest immigration office once they arrive at Unisnu Jepara (no later than 30 days from arrival). 
  • The OIS staff will guide prospective students to the language center Unisnu Jepara to join BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing) class. Considering that the majority of classes at Unisnu are taught in Bahasa Indonesia, prospective students are encouraged to arrive at Unisnu six months prior to lectures in September.
  • The OIS staff will provide information regarding the orientation for new international students, acclimating to campus, and other relevant information.
